I do not really know where to put this question, but this seems as appropriate as any place. Currently there are 4 projects with consistent development for a opensource parametric CAD software (as far as I can see). Free-CAD, HeeksCAD/CNC, CADDD and NaroCAD. All of these are based on openCASCADE. But what about BRL-CAD? This is a solid modeling CAD program with 20 years of development. There must be something there to work from to create a parametric CAD program with draughting features? Is there someone who could please enlighten me? |
