I got excited about the BBQ and seeing all the equipment and meeting the people behind the names. I thought the BBQ was in Melbourne, Florida. Too bad:-(
    Have a great time!

Cool guys, not long now. What is it 3 days to go, whoo hoo. I hope the person organising this knows how to put on a shin dig. Probably not, i believe he rambles on and on for no reason.

Anyhow I was also thinking we should guess who mac-simpson is.
Maybe a $90 mill jackpot for the winner.

    Whoo hoo, 3 days!!!!!! yeeer

    /M

My guess is .....the person who gives me a black eye on the day for giving him so much grief.
That is, if he holds the street directory up the right way, and actually finds his way there.

A good GPS can be set to 'north up' so women (and some men) can use them. Map reading is in the genes. Fellas had to learn to get home from the hunt, while all the woman had to do was gather up what he dropped.

EARPLUGS!!!! Bring your earplugs for your kids, those routers can be loud.
Try and cover up any bare high voltages, make sure your kids dont put their hands in the machines! Keep an eye out for each others stuff, laptops walk away easily!

Myself and one guest are coming (he's an inventor).

I have re-cast the machineable wax supplied by Australian Wax Co into prize sample blocks. Anyone that is interesting in molding parts should take a closer look at using this material... a hesitated glance in my general direction may trap you into ramblings about the topic ;-)

I've only just joined up because we're in the early stages of trying to build a CNC mill, but I'll definitely come along to have a look at what more experienced people are doing. I've gained a huge amount from reading the forum, I expect listening to people in person will be even better.

edit: and I can bring my own name tag

Yes you have done more than your fair share of name tags. I'll get some stickers and we can pen them this time.

Hey Frank, I remember you once had a video projector on offer, even though we havn't got an official speaker, I still think we could have some informal tutorials. (Walk by tutes)
If its easy, can you bring it along?
    Hi Benny

Will do - it does not have much lamp life left but is still usable

Gee, I'm sorry but this isnt a family BBQ. Kids should not be bought along.
Its way too dangerous for kids, I dont care how well supervised they are.
The machines could chop a finger in a nano second, and
my property has a creek at the bottom, and heaps of other dangers.

    DO NOT BRING KIDS.
If you bring kids they wont be allowed in. No exceptions!!!
Strictly for 16 years and above.

    Please. !!!

Aww..... that's a bit harsh Benny.

When we met at Ivan's we had a young girl come down from Horsham (I think) with her dad.

She was very well behaved. Don't remember her name.

Hey everybody, Greg is offering to man the creche on the day.

Yeh it probably is harsh, but I wanted to emphasize that it's not a family picnic day.
