Any word on a final date yet Benny?
Thanks,
Hi all aus forum,
This bbq sounds interesting, got an emc2 ubuntu 6.06 and xylotex4.03/425oz 4 axis kit and i am trying to dream up a set of mill plans for machining.
It would be cool to see other set ups, being an ex tradie with 3d toolpath experience it becomes addictive. Even out of the trade a i cant stop 3d modelling!
Any word on a final date yet Benny?
Thanks,
Peter
Is the event still happening???
Peter
This has been quite embarrassing guys. As You know I have normaly set a date and everything has gone to plan. This time I have had a few setbacks.
I have spoken with Nigel and he has agreed to have it at his place again. He said any date is fine so I am picking Sat 31 of Jan. I will post his address closer to the day, but it is in Wantirna, Eastern suburbs of Melbourne. We will not be doing the build a route in a day, as I dont think I want to put myself through the stress. If any of you want to do a presentation then I will leave it up to you to prepare for it. All I suggest is make it brief but filled with content. (Between 30 - 45 minutes should be enough)
For those planning to fly here, I must warn you that this event may not be as big as previous events due to the size of Nigels garden. While I am sure the day will be great, I dont want you coming with high expectations either. The day is how it turns out, and who turns up.
Regards Benny
Being outside the square !!!
Nothing to be embarrased about Benny, the last one would be hard to beat, but I am sure the next one will be just as great. I don't know if I can make it, going to check with the minister of finance and war to guage my chances
I got a lot from the last one and as someone who doesn't drink a lot, the weekend cost about the same as a large weekend on the turps so the cost isn't an issue.
Besides being a country boy I will be happy with a yarn or two and a slow look around
Cheers.
Russell.
I would like to RSVP for myself, and hopefully a friend as well.
Benny... 31st is good. I'II be there with my CNCPlans change, but your continued efforts are very appreciated! Look forward to it!
Excellent news, I'II be there with bells on (well maybe not "bells" but you know what I mean).
I'm looking forward to talking to people who are far more knowledgeable in this subject than I am, prior to starting my own plasma/router build.
Thanks for this opportunity Benny, Nigel!
Peter
