I will set a date in the next week or so.

Try and get the word out to other people that you know.

I will also post a few links up for some of the parts I showed on the weekend.

    Hi Guys.
Just a few questions if anyone can help. I have my DIY CNC running well and have finished a few projects. I am now doing some 3D stuff and would like to know which bits to use to give a smooth finish. I am using aRyobi trimmer as a spindle and it works great but I need to get a decent finish on jobs.
Any help would be much appreciated.
    Regards Greg.

    Hi Greg.
I use bits from Precision solid carbide tools for woodworking and metal forming.
not the cheapest but very good, for 3D work use 1/8 or 1/16 for real fine work.
Keep in mind when you reduce a 3D design you must use smaller bit, the same, if you enlarge the design you can use a larger bit.

    Hi Greg.
Cut3D makes several tool path, You have to do a roughing tool path first, I always use a
6.35mm(1/4") square end up spiral cutter, McJING Tools Online have a good selection at the right price they are
    Chinese but good quality.
Your next get your finishing tool path and use your 1/8 or 1/16 bull nose cutter.
For each tool path Cut3D will ask you to nominate the cutter you want to use.
    Gary.

Yeah, I think you're right Brent......... it's been about 5 months since the last (first) one. I wonder if Todd (Hellman) is listening in...... Nice central location......
