I am in Newcastle and would be interested. I have a HM52 mill that I am going to cnc. I have bought a few things like ball screws etc but haven't started it yet.
Would be interested in meeting other people with the same interest.

Hey guys just dropping back in again.
Sorry I have not been active in this thread. I am currently overseas and Internet access is a little hard to come by.
I should have my shed in about two weeks so we can agree on a date after that.

my JOES2006 build thread - http://www.cnczone.com/forums/showthread.php?t=106995
Hi All,
Well I discovered CNC about 4 days ago, and I'm already hooked! I've read reams of this site (I'm sure the wife is wondering what I'm up to) and I still have lots swirling around upstairs!
I'm interested in computers, electronics and woodworking, so this is going fun! I'm considering a Joes 2006, but I don't want to rush in.
Would love to catch up with some fellow local CNCers, I think I could ingest information more quickly in person!

Heres my tips from previous BBQs.
Announce a date with at least 4 weeks proir notice.
Bump the buggery out of the thread.
Personally invite those you know who live in the area.
Make sure there at least one working machine there.
Make it a requirement that each attender bring something of interest. Item, or machine, or pictures.
Get those who have accepted, to invite thier friends who share the interest, and list thier names in this thread.
Try and list some of the activities you plan for the day. IE Software demonstration, machine demo, etc.
Post pics of prior events to show others that they missed out, and they should come to the next one.
When it gets big enough, canvas sponsors to donate a prize. Software developers are usually the best as it costs them nothing to issue a licence bt they get great publicity.
Good luck with the event.

Being outside the square !!!
Thanks for the info Benny!
So how 'bout it? Is there any interest for another Newcastle CNC BBQ?
Wayne.
Dear all,
Is there any chance that someone in the Newcastle, Central Coast area, be able to assit me with my Taig mill and Mach3. I would appreciate if we could talk on the telephone rather then on the forum.
Regards
Kel
