    7th Brisbane CNC User Group Meeting - 1st May 2010 (SPECIAL EDITION IN MALENY)

    Details for the next Brisbane CNC User Group meeting are as follows;

    Date: Saturday 1st May 2010
    Time: 9am till ~5:30pm followed by Boris's famous wood fired pizza for Dinner
    Where: Maleny (email borisdan at mac dot com for address)
    What to Bring: A machine, parts, work pieces or something else of interest.
    Cost: $5.00 per person

    ALL ARE WELCOME.

    This one will be a BIG one and should not be missed - last year was a huge hit and I still don't stop hearing about it. Unfortunately I missed last year and won't be able to make it again!

    Tentative schedule is as follows;

    9am till 12pm - Short show and tell by all attendees, Boris showing "digital" joints in real wood and ply
    12pm till 2pm - Visit the Maleny Wood Expo (www.malenywoodexpo.com.au) and lunch at your own expense
    2:30pm till 5:30pm - More presentations (details to follow)
    5.30pm - The Pizza oven will be humming, and people are invited to put together their designer pizzas for dinner washed down with juices/drinks and byo booze in moderation.

    General discussion from there onward.

    Also, I need some volunteers to present on a topic that may be of interest to the group (CNC software, CAD, CAM, machining techniques, etc.). Post your offer here or sent me a PM / email

    RSVP by posting a reply to this post and let me know if you are bringing a machine so I can allocate space and power for it.

    Tentative meeting dates for the rest of the year are;

    Saturday 5th June 2010
    Saturday 7th August 2010
    Saturday 2nd October 2010
    Saturday 4th December 2010

    Cheers,

    Claudio

    Hi All,

    I will be there. I am trying to encourage a couple of blokes to come along as well.

    If anyone is interested I can do a simple basic introduction to G Code Programming. Let me know so I can prepare some handout notes for people to follow.
