Do I Really Have That Much Spare Time!!??

This post will bring my total to 9,998, approaching that magical round number of 10,000.

I started to think (dangerous activity); how long does it take to type a typical post? Half a minute, ten minutes??? Some of mine have taken upwards of half an hour, some less than half a minute; so I chose four minutes as an average. Therefore since I joined CNCzone in the middle of 2005 I have spent about 40,000 minutes typing posts; that is 667 hours.

Do I Really Have That Much Spare Time!!??

Dividing it by the number of weeks since I joined makes it sound better at about 3 hours a week and then going further it is just under half an hour a day.

So now I don't feel so bad because I never spend any time watching TV so overall my time wasting activities are minimal. And I like to think I am being more useful posting here than watching TV.

Time on my hands

I must have more time to waste than I thought.
Anyway, Geof and Al, I have learned a great deal from your posts. Please keep those informative posts coming. It is folks like you two that make the Zone such a great place.
It seems that I only have 9976 posts(39,904 min.) to go.
Geof, Al thanks again for the info and entertainment.

Randy,

I'd rather read your postings and when things get too calm, become a "bomb thrower". LOL

Keep it up guys, somebody's got to hold up the old farts end. I just turned 69 after another ambo' ride and a few days in the ICU. OK now though.

You could never post again, and stay right at 10K. But then you wouldn't catch me.

And btw, I have no spare time at all.

Never gave them a thought. I saved my PMs, both sent and received, in a folder on my Desktop and just counted something like 70 text files in that folder, and I have some saved on other computers so I guess they do add a siginificant amount to the total. Each text file has something like fifteen to twenty PMs or replies.

Goodness knows why I am saving them but I have the disc space so why not.
