Hi Muthumani! I am glad you are here. I have a thread going about how to build a cheap ($300) cnc machine. Its not an impossible task..I would be honored if you could read my thead "Build Inexpensive CNC with good tolerances" in the woodworking forum under the DIY Machine category. Any thoughts on the low end and how to get by would help? Any thoughts on cheap gearing to multiply torque with low lash? On the low end you can not really buy motors much bigger than 166 oz/in..Its about stuff like General Spec ACME single start (since two start costs to much..same with precision ACME and ballscrews ect..they are great but out of the price range)..things like.."ok so you have a $20 router..you need to take it out of its plastic enclosure and get it solidly mounted in Iron or Steel and make sure you preserve the ground asnd dont leave anything exposed that could get particles in it" Or $20 is too difficult ..spend $50....Or counterbalance the gantry from above with force vectors to reduce the effect of gravity.. here I suggest..ect..ect.. Its not a thread about me ..its about mass collaboration on a problem..Everyone simply cant spend $1200 for a machine. Any brainstorming helps!
Thanks
