Size of your shop or company | | I don't post very often but I find some good/intresting items on this board. Not that the size of your shop or company really matters but at times I get a bit confused about the mix of hobiest and industrial shops.
Before I start here, just let me say I soon hope to open my own 1 man shop.
We are a wood working company specializing in cabinets, cabinet doors, drawers and componets.
Our company has 7 locations across the US in 5 states. Total (that I know of) we own 9 - 3 axis CNC routers, 2 - 5 axis CNC routers. The routers are by CR Onsrud, Routech/SCM, Shoda and Thermwood. We either write code from scratch or we also use Alpha-Cam by Planit Solutions. I personally like CR Onsrud routers, as far as Cam ........... Alpha-Cam is the only software i have been exposted to.
We also have some where around 10 horizontal CNC tennoning machines by Accu-Systems and Maxym.
We employe 2 full time CNC programmers (I'm one of them) and 3 or 4 people who program from time to time.
So tell me what you all have going on. And sorry about any spelling errors!!!
Thank you.......... Safe and Happy Holidays to all!!!
Jeff
