I could use a little help from one of you smart dudes. I'm setting up a "new" (2001 or so) laptop, running windows XP, and I can't get it to see the PCMCIA wireless card. The card is a Linksys, and the card works fine in my other laptop. Also, any other card seems to work fine in the new laptop. When I plug the card in, I don't even get the "new hardware found" routine, or the option to "safely remove hardware". It's like it's not there. The card is getting power, as indicated by the LED on the card. Any thoughts would be appreciated. I am up on all of the MS service packs and stuff. |
