I appoligize in advance if I am not supposed to post questions regarding other websites here.. (I hope this is ok) Does anyone here go to eng-tips.com ? This is an engineering tips website with forums much like this one.. (but not dedicated to CNC like this one) Anyhow,, I joined the forum and after about 1 week my username was banned from logging in.. (I got a message that I needed to contact the site administrator).. I tried to contact them 3 times and got no reply. Even one of thier users who was communicating to me by email tried to contact them and ask what was up.. He got no reply either. I logged in under a different name a few weeks later and the exact same thing happened. I got banned again. I dont act any different there than I do here.. Im just looking for answers and like to participate when I can. Any ideas?? Anyone have any experience with that website? I am a little miffed that this has happened as I do not see how I could have caused any problems. Thanks, Murphy |

| I guess that admin for the site has taken a vacation and they have a registration problem and he is now where to be found.

| Most forum software ,and I assume this one as well, has the capability of banning users from 'complete' domains.. It may have been just as simple as someone else accessing that site from the same ISP that you use, and that whole range may have been blocked.. You can try sending an email to the admin noted on the main web page, as opposed to inquiring in the forum itself.. |
