Just thought I'd post up saying hey.

Im currently a 5 axis CNC Laser operator for a company that both manufactures CNC machines (CNC Grinders, CNC Laser Welders & CNC Water Jet Abrasive Cutting machines), as well as runs productions with machines manufactured by the company. My machine utilizes a 2200 watt CO2 laser to weld turbine blades (blades are either Inconel 738 or Mar-M 247) used in the power generation industry. Been doing this for 2 years now.

Im also a recent graduate from the local community college with an Assoc. degree in Machining Technology.

Operation is fine, but Im hoping to transition into design and programming, since thats what I'd prefer to do. My ultimate goal is to eventually break into the racing industry doing design & programming work.

One of my hobbies is building plastic scale models, and eventually I want to either build, or buy, a 5 axis CNC milling center so that I can start making custom parts for my own models, and potentially start a small side business making parts to sell for people to use in their own models.
