| I gotta a crazy thought, but why don't you come up with a nice banner for the title of the site? You could spread it across the top of the page, then whack the ads over the top. Might make it stand out a bit more since it is rather "white"?

I have had a long time desire to make a drop down/fly out menu at the top, so that a viewer could go to any part of the forum in just one click. I did make one in the past but it was never implemented. Esentially it would just look like a toolbar perminantly stuck to the top of the browser, but only viewable while in the zone.It would not matter where the user had scrolled to in a page, the bar would always be there at the top. Maybe the top banner could also incorperate the magic menu too. I also know a way to make it so that the users had the option to turn it off and use the conventional navigation if they didnt like it. | The other idea I had was like a "CNCzone Flight Desk page" Essentially it would be one page with lots of inline frames in it. The inline frames would display sorts of information like Who was online, the latest posts, the latest picture uploaded, all sorts of constantly changing data. The page would update every couple of minutes so as be be constantly fresh. I know I could do it even on my own site and just have the data linked. Its just a matter of doing it. The fun part about the idea is you could design it to look like an airplane cockpit and have the frames behind masks so as to lose the square look. I will do it one day, its just a matter of when. |
