Question what is diy?

What does DIY mean? I am a CNC and CMM guy..... hey just outta curiousity.... what does CMM truly stand for I lost it..... Cuz i don't understand why it isnt just called CNC Measuring?

I understand that there are some British Home Depot type stores that are also named DIY.

I see you have had the DIY question answered but to answer the CMM question I always understood it to mean 'Co-ordinate Measuring Machine'.

I am on a forum for some Case Modders (Computer Cases) and we joke around that DIY mean "Dremel it Yourself".
