How is everyone doing out there? My shop has had good work up till 3 weeks ago and then nothing.I have took in less than $1000 in three weeks. I hope it is going better other places than in s/w Virginia.

I talked to a shop over in Tn. last week. The one I talked to had 32 people last year at this time is down to 5. He told me the other big shop in that area closed down for good and another smaller shop (was about 15 workers) said if things did not get better by end of month they would shut down at end of month.
I have been putting back for this time and can make a year of payments even with no work, but would have to let eveyone go. Losing good workers is bad as losing my machines.

I think this is a refreshing comment; He has been with me for over 10 yrs and I do feel obligated.

I have had one employee for over 20 years and several around the ten year mark; you do feel obligated. I guess it is a problem of being a responsible employer. Fortunately we are not seeing a serious effect, our products are in the disability area, small, steady, never any sudden increase in demand (fortunately given what has to happen to people for them to be our customer), never any sudden drop in demand.

Hang in there and good luck.
