Matchmaker Cnc Mill Model AN-S

Hi All,
I have obtained one of these machines, I believe it may be of early 1980's vintage. The control on the machine is Posidata CNC 2800. I have powered up the machine and controls, there is no display on the CRT, I think the CRT is faulty. Now come the questions: Can this machine be converted to run off of a PC? Is it worth tying to repair the Posidata control. The machine itself looks to be in fairly good condition, how do I test the axis drive motors? I would be grateful for any information on this machine. Thanks in advance.
