I am just getting started in this AWESOME hobby and have hit a jaw dropper... My plans were to build a small machine to start and move up from there... That was until I started looking up spindles for my larger machine.

WOW! The pricing I'm seeing is nuts! For a hobby I'm just getting into I can't spend a whole lot. $500 or more.. I might as well engrave and cut my own grave marker cause the Wife will kill me! lol

So here's the deal... I found cncguitar.org and was instantly "turned on" to going bigger sooner... lol

For a small machine, I'm going to use my "Dremel" to engrave wood, cut light plastic, etch glass etc... I'm currently after some photocopier steppers rails etc for that. Got a guy that has like 10 copiers that are going to the recycle depot soon. I'm going to have a day to pillage all I want from them
So. For a larger machine, 3x3 or 4x4 that I can use to cut a guitar body...What would I need? (??oz/in) etc
