Thumbs down Liar, Liar, Pants on Fire!

I don’t usually let things bother me, (usually).

I read an article today that was posted on MSN.com, that hit home. Not only did it hit home, it was a flat out lie.

Now I realize that most things are not made in the USA anymore, pretty much assembled at best. The article was pointing out what companies still build in America and how proud they are that they can say this. Well, I for one know for a fact that the bearings for the new Hogs are not made in america, they were built in Spartanburg, SC. Until the first of 2009. The bearings are now built in Mexico.

Here is the story

Any future Hog owners, good luck with that.

You have to consider that the general public has no clue about manufacturing. That said they buy anything and everything based on the air used to tell the lie.

Show something stupid on TV and you would be surprised at how many buy these junk products.

There is a serious lack of common sense these days.

So true!

The media is so fake, it's just messed up. They will report anything, wrong or right.

I hate to tell you this but their carburetors (until they went to F.I.) were Kehin. The suspension is Showa. I believe the ignition and charging system are Nipondenso. In searching for this, I found owner posts about wheels stamped inside with "Made in Japan", engine mounts being stamped, "Made in China" and seats with "Made in Singapore."

You may continue ranting now.

What is the price of a new hog?? Because we are in manufacturing and see the lost work here and in Canada we know, but like I said, the general public is ignorant to these facts.

I think Rant is an understatement.

I'm probably just repeating an urban legend here, but I thought I read somewhere that Honda's Marysville, Ohio plant actually used more American-made parts on the Gold Wing than Harley did on any of their bikes.

LOL, I heard the same thing years ago. It influenced my purchase of a '93 CBR900.

The hog boys didn't like me too much LOL. My bike was a lot faster

BINGO!

That's exactly what they are doing, they buy at very low cost, & charge the customer as If it's high quality, by holding a sign over their head "Made In America".

That's a kick in to the rest of us...

Mot to mention that's false advertisement, Made & Assembled are not the same thing. Name: cussing.gif
