Some time ago I took the old family computer out from the storage room and put it to work in my shop. The wife rolled her eyes and with that all to familiar look of "what are you doing now?". With my usual reply of "nothing" and a smile on my face I proceed to the shop. Now at first I looked at the prospect of having a computer in the shop as just a "why not" project. That was 6mths ago and its turned out to be one of the best "ideas" I have had. As a example of how much its used I recently had the Power supply die (smoke and all, quite entertaining actually) and it became a priority to get it up and running again. What I use it for: Sirius radio conversion tools calculators timers GOOGLE (best resource ever) playing a movie (sometimes its nice having that background entertainment) Who else uses a shop computer, and what are you using it for? any programs you found useful? |

| Got 3 in my place, when the machine's up and running I can do a bit of CAD, check E-Mails, listen to the radio and... of course have a read at CNCzone
