Hello all, this is my first post. I just got my first CNC machine. I was planing to do a retrofit on a BP clone but I can across a milling center for $500 and couldn't pass it up. It's a 1987 Matsuura MC-560V with a Yasnac MX 2 control. It was in production until a month ago when the spindle driver started to throw a fault code. The x,y, and Z still move fine. My first job is to get it moved home. At 5 tons it will take some doing. I have a bid from one company to do it for $650. Next job will be to make sure my rotary phase converter meets the specs. for the machine. Then repair or replace the spindle driver. Here is a link to a few photos of the machine. http://picasaweb.google.com/sandy.n.marc/CNC# Thanks for reading Marc |

| For a first machine it looks like you bought a good one. Hopefully everything is in good working order. Box Ways too. MX2 Yasnac is a good control. Do you have the Manuals for Programming and Maintenance?? You can find most of what you need here. http://www.yaskawa.com/site/Support....ntrollers.html Good luck with her and welcome to CNC Zone!

| Thanks, I got a bunch of documentation with the machine. I also just found the documentation for the spindle drive. I talked to two of the people who ran the machine since new. They said it is a good machine. They both thought about buying it but don't have the room. Marc |
