First of all, I'm new to this site and new to the whole forum thing, so forgive me if I am posting this in the wrong spot. I'm thinking about buying a semi-cheepo "harbor freight" end-mill. My questions are.. Is there a reasonably priced way to rig it so that you would have a digital readout on your x,y,z cordinates (preferably something that along with an edge finder, could be re-zeroed)? Second question.. (also looking for semi-cheep) Could you set it up with a fancier digital display and motors/servos, so once the machine has been zeroed, you could punch in x,y cordinates, and have the tables move to those positions. Again, sorry if this thread is in the wrong place. Thanks for any help. |
