Hurco and Bob CAD

Help! I recently purchased Bob CAD V23. I am trying to get my laptop connected to a Hurco VM1. Anyone out there who can offer some help getting the two to communicate. I know a lot of people don't like the Bob CAD software. That is not the problem here. I just can't seem to find the info on the Hurco machine to get the protocols and parameters right. Any help would be appreciated.

IIRC, Hurco runs its own show, so you might need specific software and cables to communicate with it. I googled a bit, and there might be some help here:

Thanks for your reply. I purchased special cables with adapters from Bob CAD that are supposed to match up to Hurco's pin out. Bob CAD provides a post processor that is supposed to generate the proper g-code for the Hurco VM-1 (2002 model). I can get a sample g-code program out of the mill. However, the program has some googy characters and shaded blocks instead of normal looking numbers and letters. From what I currently know, it is a lot easier to get a program out of, rather than into, the mill. So far, I am not even getting a good "out of" program. I will call the fellows at the link you mentioned tomorrow.
