I am back after an exteeeeeeended move.
I last checked in here before turkey-day. The plan was to pack, move, unpack, set up Inet connect and get back here in the span of 10 days or so.
What they say about the best laid plans is more than true. It's been more like 50 days and I just got back on this week - whew, it's good to be back.
The day I left sunny San Diego there was a **MAJOR** thunder storm that was some kind of omen. We hit every kind of weather (except good) there is: rain, hail, sleet, snow, slush, ice, wind; until we landed here in Idaho. The weather gods have been smiling ever since: been below 0 C for about a week now and snowing for a couple days. Shoveling snow is *such* a treat.
I am the proud owner of a new home nestled in the Silver Valley of the Idaho panhandle. It is absolutely wonderful to step outside my door and hear quiet, not the freeway noise or some butt-hook with a boom box or 1000 watt thumper in his car.
I am also the owner operator of my own business which is open 9 hours a day and takes 12+ to run. Can you believe it? Here I am, a wanna-be techno nerd (all I want for Christmas is a new pocket protector) running a take-and-bake pizza and deli shop. Gotta love it.
robotic regards,
Tom
