    looking for CAD 'lite' software

Are any of you aware of available software that would allow me to scan or create drawings, save them to GXF file and also manipulate or change the GXF file?

I have a guy cut pieces for me on his CNC and I need to spend time getting the image right before I start using his time to modify my images.

    Thanks, Jim (from Minnesota)

    looking for gxf 'lite'

    GXF - Grid Exchange Format

I only know that because I looked it up. GXF as I understand is one of the file formats that cnc software can read to cut out a pattern.

    Hi Jim,
    Welcome to CNC Zone

ger21 is our "resident CAD" ex spurt so if he can't help with the GXF question I guess there is no such thing.

I believe you want a CAD program to work with DXF files. (not G)

Do a web search for "progeCAD" which is available as a free (charity donation requested) in several versions.

Not from the links that google gave me. Is this for a specific machine?
