| Hi, my name is Gary and I am addicted to my cnc mill. LOL. I have a Maxnc 10cl and have just started making some of the parts I have been drawing up for years. I use Bobcad mostly for my developement of the parts and tool path with great success. I have found allot of help already on this site and hope to start contributing to it in the near future. I will post pics and video soon of some of the parts I have been building. |

| Thanks, I am sorry it took sdo long but I have been reading everything I can on some extra tooling ideas for the mill. Here is some pics of the mill as I first started. I have made a work surface table on top with holes for bolting things down to the table since these pics out of .5" plexi for now. ![]() ![]() The motor was already updated to the larger when I bought it and he did a great job. This machine had about 12 hrs on it when I bought it so I hope to transform it before it wears out as everyone has been saying. It is a Maxnc 10cl. ![]() The table is flawless. The spindle seems to run pretty true for now but I plan to follow in the footsteps of fixittt and update the spindle to run true and be able to use a different collet setup. I am also a member of the maxnc yahoo forums. ![]() My first pocket project for a datalogger cable. The pocket is for forming the hood so that it keeps my circuit safe from copycats.LOL. ![]() ![]() ![]() This is a catch can for my race car that I kinda copied from a pic on the internet. The caps were cut from .5" plexi. The videos are below of some of the cuts. I am looking to build a 4th axis for the machine to try and work with some 3d cutting. The bobcad software is really user friendly on the cad and cam side so my transision to nc from a manual mill opperation has been helped along greatly. I am addicted to this thing and have spent weeks reading and looking at others projects to get more inspiration. My goal is to build a 5 axis benchtop mill and a small cnc lathe to complete my home machine shop. I also plan to build a flatbed mill for foam cutting for some fiberglass work on a few custom car projects. ![]() |
