Hello from Eastern Iowa! I've always been intrigued by machinery, and my forte is computers. What better blend than CNC?  Anyway, I am interested in building a small unit for hobby work. I'm still in the planning phases, and I'm thinking that it'll be quite some time before the economy is at a place where I can afford much more than the MDF, aluminum angles, and misc. hardware needed for the table, gantry, and axes... But until then, I can plan, tinker, and keep myself up to date here! - Ken  |

| Not quite that far east... I'm in Cedar Rapids. I'm also a transplant. Moved just in time for the ice storms a year ago, then the floods this summer... It's nice having seasons and all (we were in L.A. for 8 years), but this is a little overwhelming.
