    Is it a good time right now to become a Machinist-by trade??

    Maybe next time I need to remember to search forums before making redumbdant threads

    Btw I was the one who started the above thread...

    As an update: My plant had a large layoff on 12-29-2008 and I was one of the people given the walking papers. There are a few people still working there, but in a way I may be better off getting cut now because atleast I got a good severence package... there may not be anything left when they finally close the doors for good.

    I will say, I wish it was, but it is not.
