| It didn't work out. He raised his price, shipping was more then quoted, a $1000 phase converter would be needed, and it wouldn't clear my shop door without a ton of disassembly. Needless to say, I'm bummed, but I'll keep looking.

| Thats right...just keep looking something will come along...I know it will. Look for something with a tool changer if you can, it's a big +. Call some big used machine suppliers and give them your name, price range and what you are looking for, tell them to keep their eye open for you. Then they'll have a potential buyer if they run across something. I used K.D. capitor equip. here is Scottsdale, they have a website...there is probably one of those companies around where you live, save on shipping maybe? Good luck. Dave |

| Yeah, but I'm on a tight budget. Most of the cheaper, but larger mills I've seen don't come with an ATC. That is the very reason they don't go for much. I would like to spend about 4 grand including shipping. There are some verrrrrry nice mills over in CAL. but shipping puts me over my bugdet. Anyone in CA want to do me a favor and drive down here for cheap

| That's right, hold on to your cash. The market is full of great deals! I got my Leadwell VMC at auction for $3,000. Excellent deal! The rigger cost me $3,300. (maybe I should've invested in a truck & trailer instead!). And speaking of the rigger and garage door, They called me on a Friday afternoon to tell me they'd be delivering Monday morning. "And oh, by the way, the machine is 12" taller than previously thought". Some GOOD friends and I had the new garage door header in by 7 a.m. monday morning! The move went as smooth as silk. Thanks to the rigging company and the fact that they had all the right equipment. |
