Hello everyone, I need some advice i am facing another layoff AGAIN and its timr for a career change. i want to change to the machine tool industry but dont know where to start. i live in ct and called my local trade school that i graduated from in 93 but there post grad program now you can only get into if your already working for a company. does anyone know of a company that would hire me with no experience that would help me with the schooling thanks for reading this kevin |

| Hi Kevin I would suggest a good background in math, trig and plane geometry is really helpful. Solid geometry also but that can be later down the road Download Proge-smart and learn some CAD it is free and a really good program to start. budP |

| Thanks for that. I already have proge cad it is a good program to use verymuch like autocad its a shame you have to pay 350 to be able to import images or do any 3d work though. I also have used rhine solid works and went to school for 6 months for autocad. I also now how to use alibre express again the paid version is very expensive. but so far none of that has been very helpful yet. alot of company's up here just seem to want lots of experience, just a result of the economy i suppose. |
