Ok I couldnt really find a good place to post this so I'll post it here, If any one is looking for almost ANY thing that would relate to CNC i.e. hardend rods, stepping motors, controllers ETC............................ let me know, there is an electronics and metal salvage place down the road and I give the guy who owns the place a hand every now and then. But just for example he has about 600 printers you name it he's got it from 1980-2003 models of printers. and thats not all I mean heck power supplys random stuff? switches opto, manual. but if your looking for certian stuff for a REALLLLLLLLLLY good price, contact me berin1 at hotmail dot com.

The company which is my source for parts just got in 8 5x5x6' boxes of computer printers. That means stepping motors, psu's and also hardend steel rods. Also he has about 50 credit card machines. The credit card machines have a form lf LVD displays there the green dot matrix charictor displays wihch are like 5x8 dots per charictor. vacum display's. about 2x?40 charictors. The the controllers are UCN5812EPF. Which are a serial based controller. It takes 4 of these chips to controll one LCD.

Also I'll give away one of the LCD's if someone could write/make a controller and program code for some kind of pic chip that would emulate an HD44780 CONTROLLED lcd modual On these lcd moduals. An other cool thing is the credit card machines have l296 chip's in them which are a variable 5-44v 4amp switching IC.
