THE OLYMPIC GAMES THAT IS! In just a couple of hours from now the opening ceremony will commence. We are receiving news reports to say that our Chinese friends have done an excellent job. The opening ceremony is said to be something to behold! Can`t wait. The ex swimming coach Laurie Lawrence had a feature on the news showing us through the new facilities. He was awestruck at the levels of comfort provided for all competitors. Fantastic well appointed living quarters, and food fit for a king. He also says that the Chinese people are friendly, happy and helpful. Promises to be a great games. All i can add is - Aussie, Aussie , Aussie! Oi, Oi, Oi! Aussie rocket.     |
