Like to say Hello to everyone-I have a small company with a few manual machines-We make items for our own companies for the swimming pool industry. I am currenty refinishing work on a Warner & Swasey #3-beautiful old machine-Thirty years ago I worked in a machine shop just when the tape machines started & of course being young and foolish I didn't learn much, but now since I have gotten into the machines I have developed a real passion for the trade- Currently I take a course or two at the local colleges and hope to start with a basic CNC course and in a year or two upgrade to a CNC machine, turning and mill-I'm going to go new as I am a little afraid of used. My dream long term is to set up a complete job shop of some type- Can any member suggest a first turning CNC machine-I go to Westec and I am not a big fan of Hass-like the Hurco-Love Mori & Mazak but I think they may be out of my price range-the teach type of lathe like the Trak is nice, but limited with the manual chuch and four way tool post-anyways thank you any suggestions would be helpful |

| Welcome to the zone, Can't really give any advice on the machines to start a job shop with. It's been a little over 10 years since I've run a commercial cnc. There's a lot of good information here on the zone.... Welcome, Jack
