Hi everyone,
It has been a long time since I have been in this forum. Actually I was surprized that my sign in was still valid. Anyhow, since I was at a machine auction today I thought it be a good idea to share what I purchased and maeby get some comments back from the associates at cnczone. As I mentioned, I went to the North East wisconsin site of tecumseh company witch happen to close their doors for good at this location. I must say that they had a lot of equipment available at umbelivable price bids. Remember that this facility employed over 5000 people and build motors for lawn equipment. Well I bid and won the bidding on a 1996 Chiron FZ12W machining center, with the 13% auction fee I ended up paying $3,972. It has a OM fanuc control and I think a 10 tool changer. The machine is in very good shape and also very clean. It has a shuttle for 2 fixtures. Well that was all I bought what do you guys think? Did I make a good deal I never owned a Chiron so I have no idea a good of a machine they make. All comments are appreciated.
