Are there any companies that accept a Mastercam or Camworks file and run the CNC commands on their machines for a reasonable price? Effectively, this is like a "print" command. I would set up all the cuts/tool selection and the company would just clamp the block and cut it for me. Most companies seem to ask for a STL or solidworks file and they run it on mastercam to design all the g-code but this is a time intensive and expensive process that we can do in house. I'm trying to automate the process as much as possible without using someone else doing the engineering but the machining company would maintain the machines/house it. |

I've been doing "rent-a-machine&operator" for a while. It just takes an agreement and responsibility to the shop. I could help you. Much depends on part type and quantity. Please contact if you wish. I've been through the learning curve. Brian
