Most PC's have a printer port, it is the 9pin serial port that has pretty much been dropped.

My CNC is controlled by an old PC. It was probably one of the last ones made without a USB port. I could buy a USB card for about $30. Then I could use a flash drive (instead of floppys) to move data from another computer upstairs. But maybe I should just buy a new low end cmputer. I use a Bob Campbell breakout board with a parallel cable. Do today's computers have parallel ports or only USB ports? If they don't have parallel ports can I adapt the Campbell bb to USB? Thanks

The only way to do that is to use a SmoothStepper in between them. www.warp9td.com

I am new to this forum, but I am in need to purchase OneCNC2003 software to use with my shopdata software that was installed on my computer when I purchased my table FastCut CNC machine. Any thoughts on where I can find this software??
