Hi, All found this site from a machsupport forum. I have been using cnc for about 13yrs now. I am familar with hurcos, brigdeports, and hardige's. I have a bridgeport series2 with a boss5 control on it and one of the boards went out of it so I am looking to retrofit it with newer stuff. I am looking for any suggestions on what parts to use.

Check out the FAQ section as there are a LOT of questions that have been asked and answered too many timest to count. Especially are those involving steppers versus servo's.

If you have servo's on your machine, AJAX CNC is essenitally your main optoin, espeicallly if you want to plug and play - sort of...

If you ahve steppers on your machine, MACH is probably the better option as it is well supported via the members.
