End mill's? you ain't seen nothing yet

Ok, this is a total waste of time but check this out, I was astonished.

End mills that are .0002 in diameter, for perspective, that means you could drill about 12 holes, sideways in a human hair.

Incredible,

I wonder if they have a sharpening service for their end mills

That is incredible! I cannot really imagine such a tiny tool being capable of cutting anything without snapping off. The worst part is you might spend all day cutting just to find out that the tool broke off 7 hours ago!

I know Murray, I cannot for the life of me imagine any way, or on what material except air they could cut. I did send a email to them apologizing for wasting their time, and asked them how or on what this could be used.

I will let you know if the reply.

Looks like you would have to use some kind of microscope to tell what you were doing. Besides using one can you imagine what it takes to MAKE one?

For a .0002 endmill
150 SFM=2,865,000 RPM

My machine just doesn't go that fast.

Above my max rmpm by just a little as well and besided that, my chuck only goes to zero.

Oh, and if the LOC is three times the diameter that would be a LOC of .0006, now that would be useful

I emailed them asking for on what and how these were being used, but since answering my email did not make them any money they ignored it.

Maybe one could create a new service like "Write your name on you hair" or similar.
