No... not the kind of HOMBREW you drink.

This is Post Number 1.

I am one of those non-posters listed at the top of this forum section. I run a tiny forum of my own and with many other activities I don't even have enough time to post there on a regular basis. Just too much going on. Ha!

I have been a lurker here for probably several years. This is one heck of a great resource for CNC. I am a supporter, just not much of a poster.

I am currently building a new mount for the router which will be very solid. The machine was designed to see how inexpensively I could make the machine. Experienced forum members will recognize the Piker controller that worked perfectly but was soon replaced with a more expensive HobbyCNC chopper. I am building my second HobbyCNC controller right now. The first one is running my Taig CNC Mill with MACH3. (If this link doesn't page well, use the first link on this page to go through the "front door")

I am currently designing a new and larger CNC overhead router/engraver gantry type machine. This will be more for function than low cost. I want it to be more of a production type machine. This is a long range project.

After playing with two machines, I have gotten more into what a CNC machine can do than how they are built. But building is still challenging!
