I have just sat, emotionally moved, watching the Pride of Britain Awards. Although there are similarly heroic acts and touching tributes towards those involved in other parts of the world, the ones closest to home always seem to have the biggest impact. My glass is raised to all those who, wherever in this world, selflessly give of themselves to better the lives of others.    |
