| I have a fairley new machine 4x3 table built very heavy all my 2d cutting goes ok. i use vcarve soft. i also do 3d carving and the shorter files seem to run good most of the time but as i increase the length of files the z axes wants to pick up about 1/3 of the way into the file i seem to have a heating problem so i added better heat sink and another fan to cool drives i think i have older gecko drives and am running mach 2 i thought i cooled the drives enough but problem still there i am new to cnc so somewhat lost , builder of machine is very helpfull and is replaceing heatsink w/ newer style drives and maybe up grade to mach 3 i wonder if i could be missing somethin or causing the problem? any ideals . thanks for looking John. |

| I have just the same problem . using V.Carve soft and Flash cut.The problem seems to be the configuration in the Flash cut program. The federate and ramping values was sett to high. I will test it out tomorrow. regards Ole Klepp |
