Angry I can take a hint.

I took Berin's post on power supplies as an invitation to plunk down a rather lengthy post on the theme. Only to get the message I was not allowed to post a reply. And this AFTER I spent 5 minutes writing it!

So now I'm back on the lurker's list.

    Bye
    Einar

    Only 5 minutes?

If you're talking about the Opensource CNC Design Center Forum, there is a FAQ about that.

You can post that in the Conference Room for that Forum if you like.

    Team Membership?

Einar -- If you'd like to join in the team effort thats going on iin the "Design Center" just let me know. I'll then make arrangements - takes about 6 - 12 hours - hope you "saved your 5 minute post somewhere!!

I ask that you take a look at the pdfs we've posted in the thread - "DIY "thing"" and make sure you'd like to "play".

All we're trying to do is make sure that people that participate get sort of a private space and we keep the threads on track and on the subject.
Always looking for help - its a BIG Project!
Thanks - or should I say, "tusand taks?" - Jim
Experience is the BEST Teacher. Is that why it usually arrives in a shower of sparks, flash of light, loud bang, a cloud of smoke, AND -- a BILL to pay? You usually get it -- just after you need it.

Thanks for the invitation. I've followed your efforts a bit, and it's not in line with mine. I aim a bit higher and would like to find the "perfect" setup, then do whatever tradeoffs I (read my bank account) have to. I think that's important so my tradeoffs are not brought in by not knowing, but by not affording. But I'll try to keep an eye on it. So far I've picked up some *really* good points. And also some real neat solutions to the problems I have already identified. I'm getting old enough I realize I will not make a lot of different attempts. I will probably have to do with the choices I make now, and have spent enough money on cheap solutions I'm motivated to spend what it takes or leave it alone. No offense to those choosing otherwise, use and share the experiences you make.

Admin: I think it would be a good idea to make it clearer when reading a thread where I'm not allowed to post. Use color, put a notice just above the reply form or whatever. I have noticed there are closed threads, but I usually use the "Get New Posts" and jump in where I find something interesting or think I have some experience to share. Today I **** on my shoes twice. Guess that was one too many. :-)
