Growing up my father had a small but very profitable machine shop that was all manual machines. He passed away 13 years ago and I himhawed around about taking the step to go full time into the business. 3 years ago I moved, built a building, and started looking for work. I still work full time for someone else. I have a manual mill, 2 manual lathes, a hone, surface grinder and mini CNC mill. Where have you fellow machine shop owners gone to get started and pick up some good steady accounts? I would love any input you could give me as to where to look and how to approach getting work. |
