building a rifle

I was wondering if anyone has built a rifle on their cnc, and if they have any good plans for doing it.

Hrm.. that could be interesting. Good post. If you find anything interesting, please come back and share with us.

I wonder if there are any legal ramifications to building your own firearms. possibly here in Ca, due to registration issues.

There was a link in the shoutbox about a CNC made rifle. Take a look there or do a google search. I would think most people would just want to make the stock and possibly new accessories such as a bipod, etc. Making the barrel would be a little much for most of the homebrew DIY tools we have.

Good luck, and let us know if you make one.

No, no, no....you buy the stock from me and make the rest of it.

If you will go to the ATF website you can find the regs about making your own firarms. There are some limitations such as silencers, full auto and assault type firearms. Unless the rules have changed I think you can make up to three per yr for your own uses without having to have a permit, assuming there is no legal reason you can't already own a firearm.

Just make sure you do it by the book , then order your stock from me!
