Exclamation Probably a new virus

I've just gotten 3 emails in the past hour. Each one has an attached .zip file with it. All three have had different subjects and messages, but they all three seem related.

Here's an example:

Subject: Hokki =)
Message:
Argh, i don't like the plaintext

password -- 03647

And attached is the file AttachedDocument.zip (21.1KB)

I have yet to open any of these attached documents as this looks like a virus to me. As of yet, Norton doesn't flag this as a virus, but I'm still leary. Be on the lookout, we'll see if it's a virus or not.

I've received several email today similar in nature but the attachments were deleted by our email server anti-virus. Safe to assume it's some new virus

OK, I did some searching. Sure enough, it's a virus. The "Bagle" Virus, or something similar to that. Anyway, here's some more information: http://www.trendmicro.com/vinfo/viru...ee&alt=weeeeee

You can also go to Panda Antivirus software and subscribe to their antivirus newsletter. These guys let you know the moment when there's a new virus threat......

As a rule of thumb, any unsolicited email without evident sense for you, and specially if has an attachment, is a virus. There is no guarantee from coming from a known source, because probably the source is infected too. If it has no sense but no attachment.. probably only spam

You've done very well when not opening the attachments, and you show very good common sense and a correct level of paranoia

Someone is sending bogus eBay messages, with links to trojan horse scripts.

If you know you are not bidding, or you don't recognize the item, just don't bother opening it.
