    Anyone miss the old TechTV?

Does anyone miss the old TechTV and shows like The Screen Savers and Call for Help. I know I sure do. Anyway I came across this online petition if anyone is interested. It may not do much good, but probably can't hurt. http://www.petitiononline.com/mod_pe...ed.cgi?tkg4m&1

I miss it. I used to watch the screen savers during dinner and actually felt I was learning something. But then my cable supplier deleted the channel...

I think the show uncovered the underculture of "gamers" and some of the personalities of the show now do a gamers oriented show on some channel or other - Morgan Webb is one HOT personality from Tech TV who's moved on to bigger and better things in that gamer show genre.

Sadly, shows like that (and much earlier versions ala Don Herbert as "Mr. Wizzard" - now THAT'S OLD!!!) find their niche but sadly, not a big enough one to keep them afloat.

Unfortunately, drivel like some of the reality shows sprout up to take their place. Can hardly wait for next installment of "flavor of love".... NOT!!!! aaargh!!!

I also really miss Yoshi's projects, I think that was the first place I had ever seen a CNC laser at work.

It is too bad it was good stuff, but in the usuall fashion, that which is good is put aside for that which sucks.
