Mitutoyo in trouble

Went to buy a set of Mitutoyo coolant proof callipers our local industrial supply and was told that the current stock was dry.
Import of Mitutoyo tools into Australia have been suspended and heard a rumour that the owners of Mitutoyo are in gaol for helping al-Qaeda.

Anyone know if this is true?
So I had to settle for measuremax and I'm not to impressed. Would have purchased Starret but they were out of stock.

Sounds like either your supplier is trying to jack up prices for no good reason, or as usual the rich law makers are going to hurt the little man.

Just because some ceo jacked arouned doesn't mean the entire company is bad.
