I'm trying to emulate what photoVcarve does by using photoshop, this is where im stalled right now: In photoshop starting from this photo: - if your image is bigger than this one, resize it around 600 pixels by going to Image>Image size> and enter 600 pixels as the new width then hit the OK button - if your image is in color before going to the next step, convert it to grayscale by going to: Image>Mode>Grayscale and discarding the color information. go again to Image>mode and choose bitmap, a dialog appears, since my image was 72dpi I leave the same setting here, in the method pulldown choose Halftone and hit OK Another Dialog appears and I used the following: Frequency: 8 (lines/inch) Angle: 45 and from the shape pulldown I selected: line then hit OK this is what I got: Now I need to convert this image to G-Code by vectorizing it, and this is what Im asking help for ![]() thanks in advance Pablo |

| you can import it into mach3 and cut bmp file with color depth, but it will take a long time to cut, the advantage of photocarve is it auyto adjust to depth using a vbit which governs the line width, and thats how it cut a picture like that quick. |
