A question to anyone living in the States who might be interested in a proposition.
People living outside of the States often find postage costs are a killer when purchasing.
I find that many US suppliers will only ship within the States or offer a single and therefore expensive o/s shipping service.
Is there a CNCzone member who would like to offer a modest shipping service to o/s zone members?
Is
www.shopthestates.com a cost competitive alternative to this or is anyone interested in doing it cheaper?
The way I see it working is the zone member purchases direct and quotes a US zone member address as the delivery point. When the part arrives, the part gets re-posted
after money has been received to cover postage and handling charge.
I don't know the Inland Revenue laws in the States so that would have to be researched by anyone interested.
With internet banking and emails, communication would be easy. If no money is sent for postage, the handler keeps the item.
Just a thought for anyone wanting to build a small business with no cash exposure.
