Anyone ever heard of Makino ? Got a call from them the yesterday about a job. I'm sure it would mean that I would have to relocate. Just want to get others opinions on the company before I talk to them again.

| They make GREAT machines! Took a programming class there a few years ago and got a factory tour. I was really impressed. Their employees really seemed to like it there. Don't know how they pay, but I'd check it out. Where I went is a really pretty part of the country, north of Cincinatti. Hope this helps

| Makino and Niigata leapfrog each other for best machine. They are the Rolls Royce/Bentleys of the machine world. I have no experience with the companies but have worked on Niigatas several times. I'm guessing you're potentially going to be service tech or applications engineer? |

| This sounds great! I have no idea what position they have in mind for me. The called me on my cell while I was at work. I just made arrangments to speak to them on Monday. I'll definately be interested in what they have to say. Thank you for the info.. I'm actually a little flattered that they called me.

| Well, it seems the lady that contacted me was just a 'recruiter' that works for the company. She set up an interview with one of the managers. The position is a Regional Service Engineer (hehe me....an 'engineer'). No relocation would be required. A little traveling, but I'm up for that. Pay isn't bad either . In my opinion, the interview went well. Unfortunately, I couldn't say that I have done everything he asked about (electrical stuff, some type of software, etc). But over all I got a good vibe.I'm supposed to find out this week! Keep your fingers crossed for me!
