Just got on,after all most a month of not getting a verification email to log on.... I would like to build a cnc router to do aluminum ....I would like the working area to be 36 x 48 inches. I would like to use i-beam machined on the top for the x axis.....8020 and aluminum plate for the y and z axis. I am not looking for speed as much as accurancy. I would like to use it to trim the legs and trees for motorcycle frontends , that I have designed, out of 6061 aluminum and wood for mockups and display. I will mock it up in wood and paint with House of Kolor Chrome paint for display ! I would like to use most powerful and dependable router head that I an afford. I have all of the steel and will need to go to ebay for the 8020... Will be interested in used parts that will fit this application. I can build the mechanical parts and my son will be learning to handle the rest and to get me on board. Hope this attempt will be fruitful. Will need all the help I can get ! Thanks in advance !
